About Veterans Build

Habitat’s Veterans Build Program focuses on five areas:

Safe, affordable housing is the centerpiece of Veterans Build. It is our mission to build new homes and provide affordable home preservation services for military service members and their families.

Habitat for Humanity International capitalizes on skill sets gained from military service by recruiting military veterans to work for Habitat or in their communities as employees, board members, volunteers, and more.

Volunteer engagement

We provide volunteer experiences that bring together veterans and military families with their neighbors, bridging the gap and easing the transition to civilian life with fulfilling community engagement.

We seek to promote a better understanding of Habitat for Humanity’s mission among the military/veteran community and support veterans’ access to affordable homeownership and home preservation.

Throughout the year, Habitat for Humanity hosts special events nationally that pay tribute to veterans, raise awareness and mobilize volunteers to honor their service to our country.
