ReStore Summary

The Habitat ReStore is a store in Delaware that sells new and gently used donations of furniture, building materials and household goods, to the public, to generate funds that support the homeownership and home preservation programs of Habitat for Humanity of Delaware & Union Counties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinating Donations to the ReStore (40% of time)

  • Receiving phone calls from donors, ensuring that all calls are returned promptly.

  • Screening all donations over the phone to determine that they are suitable for acceptance.

  • Scheduling the pickup of all donations that cannot be dropped off.

  • Working with ReStore Director to enhance policies and procedures.

Coordinating Volunteers in the ReStore (40% of time)

  • Onboarding and orienting new volunteers.

  • Creating the weekly volunteer schedule.

  • Tracking all volunteer hours.

  • Assisting with volunteer recognition.

  • Working with ReStore Director to enhance policies and volunteer job descriptions.

Coordinating Donor Recognition (10% of time)

  • Ensuring that all donors receive a thank you.

General Administrative Duties (10% of time)

  • Filing, faxing, scanning.

  • Working with the ReStore Director to enhance policies and procedures.

  • Helping with planning and execution of special events.

  • Assisting with marketing efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Team player with the ability to work well with diverse people of all backgrounds.

  • Highly motivated and dependable.

  • Experience working in an office with basic computer systems.

  • Great communication skills both oral and written.

  • Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Employment Details:

  • Reports to the ReStore Director.

  • Hourly rate paid bi-weekly, 35-40 hrs/week - including Saturdays.

  • Paid vacation.
