Swinging a hammer is not the only way to volunteer at Habitat!
Due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home, we have a constant need for committee members and volunteers to help with various other tasks.
Habitat Committee Members are a vital part of our organization, working directly with affiliate staff and volunteers to help further our mission of building simple, decent, affordable housing.
As a committee member, you will:
Attend monthly meetings
Interact with like-minded individuals
See real change happening as a result of your contributions!
Consider joining one of the following committees:
Work in partnership with families throughout the Habitat program. This opportunity can include becoming a Habitat PAL (Partner/Advocate/Liaison), a rewarding experience that requires a longer commitment.
Help attract, review and choose partner families, read and evaluate credit reports, perform home visits and assist in the application process.
Help develop ways to promote the Restore to the public, contractors, and organizations.
Work to get the word out to potential partner families, volunteers, donors and the general community about the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
Research available grants which could benefit the Delaware County Habitat affiliate and our families.
Work to plan and execute various fundraising events along with Habitat staff.
Our office offers flexible scheduling opportunities. Duties vary and include stuffing envelopes and general office duties.
