The Rose Family
Habitat for Humanity of Delaware & Union Counties is delighted to introduce The Rose Family, to our homeownership program. The family is currently living in overcrowded conditions. Jessica and her two children; a son and a daughter live in a small one story two-bedroom apartment. Jessica shares a bedroom with her daughter.
Jessica is employed in Delaware County and works as a massage therapist. Gavin attends school in Delaware. Gavin loves sports and mostly baseball. The family loves being together and they love to bowl and swim. Jessica stated that the Habitat homeownership opportunity will allow the family to have their own bedroom space. She does not believe she would be able to purchase an affordable home without Habitat.
The children are very excited to be in their own home. They are excited to be able to paint and decorate their rooms. “Brothers will be brothers” and of course Gavin is very excited that Gabriella will have her own room so she will not be in his all the time.
Jessica said “I am so happy to be a part of Habitat for Humanity and I plan to continue to help others with their dream of owning a home even after my home is built”. Jessica learned about the Habitat homeownership opportunity from a Habitat homeowner and Jessica said “it is such a great program”.
